Chapter 54-4 RENEWAL/REGISTRATION UPDATE

Rule 54-4-.01 Display of Registration

An Athlete Agent shall display their registration and evidence of renewal of registration in a conspicuous place in their office or in their place of business or employment.

Rule 54-4-.02 Change of Name or Address

It is the duty of each registrant to notify the Commission in writing if their name or address changes from that which they previously filed with the Commission. A notice of change of name must be accompanied by a certified copy of a marriage certificate, Court order or other legal document.

Rule 54-4-.03 Biennial Renewal Cycle

(1) An initial registration shall become effective upon notification in writing by the Commission that the applicant has been assigned a registration number.
(2) All registrations shall expire on June 30 of odd numbered years.
(3) Applications for renewal will be mailed to all registrants at their address of record.
(4) The applicant for renewal shall submit to the Board, on or before April 30 of odd numbered years:
(a) a complete Application for Renewal; and
(b) the biennial renewal fee (See Fee Schedule); and
(c) a surety bond (see Rule 54-3-.03 ).
(5) A person whose registration has expired may no longer practice the occupation of athletic agent.

Rule 54-4-.04 Late Renewal

Between May 1 and June 30 of the renewal year, a registration may be renewed if the registrant:

(a) submits an Application for Renewal;
(b) pays the biennial renewal fee plus a penalty fee (See Fee Schedule); and
(c) submits a surety bond (See Rule 54-3-.03 ).

Rule 54-4-.05 Revocation for Failure to Renew

A registration shall be revoked for failure to renew if the registration has expired and the licensee has failed to meet the requirements for renewal on or before July 1 of the renewal year. In order to obtain a new registration, a person whose registration has been revoked for failure to renew must apply for registration following the procedure set out in Chapter 54-3. The applicant must satisfy the current requirements for registration set out in Chapter 54-3. In order to meet the then current requirements, the applicant may use any qualifying experience and training, including any which was applied toward their previous registration.

Rule 54-4-.06 Reinstatement

In addition to all other fees, a person seeking to reinstate a registration that has been revoked, must pay a reinstatement fee (see Fee Schedule).
